The Silberpfad (Silver Trail) on the Kristberg in Silbertal
Experience the fascinating history of mining in a playful way
The Montafon, and especially Silbertal and Bartholomäberg, are closely associated with the mediaeval mining industry. To bring the history of mining and its modern scientific research to life, an educational research trail called the Silberpfad (Silver Trail) has been created by the Kristbergbahn in cooperation with the University of Innsbruck, the municipality of Silbertal and the Panoramagasthof Kristberg at the Kristbergbahn.
The 2.7 km-long educational trail is ideal for families and interested groups. In gorgeous nature, twelve stops, some of which are interactive, introduce visitors to the fascination of mining. At the end of the trail at the miners’ chapel of St. Agatha and below the Panoramagasthof Kristberg, the Silver Games World welcomes children with its many attractions.
This flagship project was realised in cooperation with the University of Innsbruck, the municipality of Silbertal and the Panoramagasthof Kristberg.
