In WINTER, all one-day and multi-day tickets, as well as season and annual tickets of the cableways in the Montafon (with the exception of the “Pedestrian single trip” ticket type) entitle the holder to free travel with the Montafonerbahn and with the Landbus Montafon for the purposes of winter sports. This entitlement applies to the Landbus Montafon until 7:30 pm. Ski tickets are therefore not valid on the Night Express (N6).

In SUMMER, journeys with public transport (during the day) are covered with the multi-day tickets of the cableways. Season and annual tickets are not valid as public transport tickets in the summer.

For more information on cable car tickets, click here.

The ticket for public transport is a separate ticket and not included in the guest card. For the purposes of winter sports, however, the season, one-day and multi-day tickets of one or more cableways are valid as tickets for use on public transport.

Tickets for the bus or train do not have to be validated again separately after purchase. However, you must be able to present a valid ticket during a ticket inspection.

It is possible to take your bike with you in the bus and on the train with restrictions. Bicycles need their own ticket. Bicycles can be carried on the bus only if the bus has a rear carrier or bicycle trailer. Bikes with a tyre size of up to  max. 27.5 inches are transported. Bicycle carriage cannot be reserved and is subject to availability.
Unfortunately, e-mountain bikes cannot be carried for technical reasons.
The carriage guidelines of the transport operators for the trains (ÖBB) and the buses (Montafonerbahn) apply.

Special regulation for the Bielerhöhe: From the beginning of July to the beginning of September, you can use the bike transport service up the Silvretta-Bielerhöhe every Tuesday and Friday with your (e-)mountain bike and start your tour from there. It is also possible to transport bicycles with 29-inch tyres using this service.

Your four-legged friend is also allowed to ride with you on the bus and train. They must be on a lead and wear a muzzle.
Forgotten to bring a muzzle? You can buy one in the tourist information offices. Small dogs that are classified as non-dangerous are carried free of charge. A ticket has to be purchased for larger dogs. Exemptions are in place for companion dogs for people with disabilities as well as for guide dogs and assistance dogs.

In addition to the normal scheduled buses and the Montafonerbahn, hiking buses also operate in the Montafon. The hiking buses in the Montafon save you the laborious vertical metres just where there aren’t any cableways and the alpine roads are closed to private means of transport. Whether to the upper Silbertal, Rellseck or Rellstal – even ambitious hiking tours are suddenly possible, as ascents and descents are dramatically shortened. Payment is onboard the bus in cash.

You can find all promotions, reductions and discounts on tickets on the website of Verkehrsverbund Vorarlberg.

There are frequent enquiries about how the ticket prices are set. You can find full information on the Domino system here.

In summer, buses run daily at regular intervals up to the Silvretta-Bielerhöhe.
You can find precise journey times here
