Wormser Chalet at 2,307 m
Schruns-Tschagguns
In the middle of the Hochjoch skiing and hiking region
Whether in the rustic parlour or on the lovely sun terrace – the Wormser Chalet knows how to impress with cosiness and breathtaking mountain scenery both in summer and in winter. The chalet was built by the Worms Section of the German Alpine Association in 1907 at 2,307 metres above sea level without the use of machines. It took two years to complete. Extensive renovation and expansion work over the past few years has provided the chalet with 64 beds.
Culinary recommendation: Apple strudel
“At the Wormser Chalet, of course!” This is the answer you usually get when asking for the place withthe best apple strudel. As a result, innkeeper Manfred and his team are very proud of their popular sweet dish: “Our apple strudel is best enjoyed hot and with creamy vanilla sauce”. But it’s not only the Austrian culinary classic made of wafer-thin strudel dough that makes this such a special place – the Wormser Chalet also claims to have the “highest letterbox in Schruns”.
